The characters from .Hack//G.U.Trilogy and .Hack//Roots (i think) end up in the same world and they all talk(alot) about something, which i kinda forgot is about what. =p
Based on the description, the part 'talk(alot)' indicates that its gonna be boring. But its a short anime, so i just watched it. =P But this anime deserves ** because i kinda find the plot interesting at that time. (though i cant remember what it is about already...)
.Hack//G.U.Trilogy

Haseo (is the spelling right? o.o) turns 3D and is still trying to get his revenge. However, a new girl comes in, who has the same type of character as his 'deceased' lover. She likes Haseo ( i wonder why) but Haseo doesnt. (maybe cos he doesnt want to remember his 'horrible' past lol) Then one day, the new girl finds trouble and Haseo stops her from getting into trouble. (Dang that fickle guy...) Suddenly i duno why that Big Gun Guy with the Tiny Specs appears and turns into the bad guy. He says that he did bad things for his sister and he ends up becoming a victim of the game or something... ... ...? Well in the end Haseo saves everything and PEACE is reached. lol
...Its confusing. Maybe the reason for that is because i keep skipping parts of the anime. XD They seriously talk too much. lol
.Hack//Gift

The well-known hacker (whatever his/her name is...) sends everyone from .Hack//Roots and another .Hack// series i didnt watch an email and everyone ends up in a wierd world. The first pitiful guy to enter the wierd world discovers the dead body of one of the muscular characters. (cant remember name lol) He goes closer. Then the rest of the characters start entering and they all notice the pitiful guy next to the dead body. They all accuse him of murder. The pitiful guy objects then they end up playing a detective game. (whichever team that can find the culprit wins) However, the pitiful guy is still their top suspect. In the end, everyone ends up in a hot spring, even the dead guy.
Its Hilarious. XD Random and Hilarious. LOL
.Hack//Intermezzo

The past of one of the characters in .Hack//Roots. Something about three highschool gamers' character helping her in something and ends up being frozen. Then in the future she goes back to the place where she met them and is glad that the frozen character is still there.
Its going from present to past to present. So try not to get confused XD The plot is interesting and thus the rating. :D However, like most .Hack// series, there is too much talking. =P Thank god its a short anime.
.Hack//Liminality

A girl and a boy plays a game and get into some kind of trouble. The boy gets stuck in the game and ends up in a coma. The girl had made it out of the game. However she feels horrible that her friend is in coma and wants to save him. Doctors could do nothing though. One day, a stranger pops up saying he knows about her friend and can save him. So she helps him in whatever he wants her to do. With some other people the guy gathered, as a 'final mission' they hack into the game and tries to rewrite it. (i think) Well in the end the did it and everyone's happy. lol
The plot is more interesting than my description. However, thanks to the talking and no sense of humour, the rating is as such. =P
.Hack//Roots

The moment Haseo started the game, he gets attacked. Then a guy with a Big Gun and Tiney Specs saves him. He doesnt really like the game, but the mysterious guy just keeps him playing. (Since he is curious lol) He then joins the guy's group, and the group's mission is to find the legendary equipment, Twilight. The group meets lots of trouble and Haseo just wants to get stronger to protect the group. (or a girl in the group...) However the group ends up disbanding cos of the disappearance of the leader and the 'death' of the assistant leader. (the girl Haseo likes) So Haseo continues getting stronger to avenge his lover. (not the group lol) Then his rashness causes him to be defeated and he goes back to level one. He learnt his lesson and slowly trains to take his revenge once again.
Like all .Hack// series, its confusing and talkative. But because of the plot, i keep wanting to know what will happen next. At the end of it, i realise that it kinda wasted my time. lol Well, some people like it, but thats because they play the game. Too bad i dont. =P
.Hack//Sign

A gamer gets stuck in the game world. However, he doesnt want to go back to reality. The rest of the game is in trouble thanks to him and they try to send him back. The problem is, he doesnt want to and they dont know how to. In the end, they manage to change his mind and find a way to send him back and everyone is happy. lol
There's definitely more description than that but i dont want to spoil anyone too much. It is interesting, worth **** but talkative and confusing. However, if u actually get it and dont mind the talking, its quite good. =D

Characters from .Hack//Roots and another .Hack// series i didnt watch meet each other in a bar and they start talking...
Yeah...thats all it is about. What they talk about is interesting, but its just talking. lol.
